Grab’s New #SisBoleh Mini-Podcast Lets Pandalela Rinong & Top Women Athletes Get Real

These women have something to tell you: Sis, you can rise too. 🌟💚
Through its women empowerment initiative #SisBoleh, Grab Malaysia is celebrating that spirit by giving Malaysian women athletes a platform to share their inspiring journeys.

As part of  its partnership with Liga Wanita Nasional (LWN) and continue championing women from all walks of life, Grab has introduced a brand-new #SisBoleh bersama Grab  mini-podcast, spotlighting the personal stories of some of Malaysia’s most inspiring women athletes.

Hosted by national footballer Steffi Sarge Kaur (Steffi Sidhu), the series brings you into honest, heart-to-heart conversations with:

  • Pandalela Rinong – Olympic diver
  • Syaidatul Afifah – Bowling champion
  • Aimi Iwasaki – Triathlete

These are not filtered, polished, “everything-is-perfect” interviews. These are the kind of conversations you’d have with a friend, the challenge, the self-doubt, and the small wins that led to big victories.

When Athletes Speak Honestly, We All Learn Something

Each episode feels like a reminder that behind every medal and headline, there’s a woman who kept fighting even when the world doubted her.

Aimi opens up about her experience joining the Ironman World Championship and the intense preparation that came with it.

Pandalela talks about the mental pressure of carrying Malaysia’s hopes on the world stage, while Sayaidatul shares how her support system carried her through family struggles and how she continues breaking through stereotypes in a male-dominated sport.

And as you listen, you can’t help but think:
“Eh… this sounds like the struggles many Malaysian women face every day.”

Because whether it’s an athlete on the world stage or a woman juggling work, family, and dreams, the courage looks surprisingly similar.

That’s exactly what Grab hopes to spotlight: the resilience and determination shared by these athletes and the many women driver- and delivery-partners who carry out their work with commitment and pride.

Part of a Bigger Push to Celebrate Malaysian Women

This mini-podcast is not a one-off initiative under #SisBoleh. It’s part of Grab’s ongoing effort to elevate and empower women across Malaysia.

Earlier this year, Grab worked with content creator Aisya Rahman to teach women practical, relatable financial skills through #SisBoleh Kuasai Kewangan.

And many Malaysians were moved by the #SisBoleh Untold Stories, featuring real women partners who stepped out of difficult circumstances and rebuilt their lives.

With this LWN partnership, Grab isn’t just uplifting women athletes, it’s widening the platform so more Malaysian women can be heard, celebrated, and supported.
