Closing the year 2025 on a meaningful note, Grab Malaysia, in collaboration with MONSTA and Astro Shaw, celebrated over 100 unsung heroes behind the platform, the Grab driver- and delivery-partners, with a special screening of the No.1 movie in cinemas, Papa Zola The Movie.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, family members of the driver- and delivery-partners were also invited to spend quality time together and enjoy the special screening, which took place at Golden Screen Cinemas, One Utama, Petaling Jaya.
A symbolic show of appreciation
As a symbolic gesture of the collaboration, the Papa Zola mascot made a special appearance during the photo session, holding a Grab jacket and interacting with guests, while driver- and delivery-partners attended the event in their Grab uniforms.
Exclusive Papa Zola The Movie souvenirs were also distributed to guests.
The event was an organised show of appreciation for the hard work and sacrifices of Grab’s driver- and delivery-partners, who continue to be the backbone of the platform’s services and work tirelessly to support the well-being of their families.

In line with the narrative of Papa Zola The Movie, the film highlights the sacrifices of Papa Zola, a loving father who works hard as a food delivery rider to ensure the happiness of his wife and child.
The story resonates emotionally with audiences by portraying relatable realities, positioning Papa Zola as a symbol of perseverance that represents delivery partners who face daily challenges in the on-demand delivery industry.

From the big screen to everyday life
As part of the campaign supporting the local animation industry, Grab also featured the Papa Zola character within the Grab app and through digital out-of-home advertising, further strengthening brand engagement while celebrating the driver and delivery partner community as a whole.
Papa Zola The Movie follows the story of Papa Zola, a devoted father working hard to provide for his small family. He later reunites with an old friend from a secret organisation known as P.A.P.A, the Protect and Prevent Agency.
When his child, Pipi, is abducted by aliens, Papa Zola and Mama Zila must race against time to rescue her and protect the world.
The film is currently screening in cinemas across Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, and is set to expand internationally beginning January 2026 in Indonesia, followed by releases in India, Vietnam and Middle Eastern markets, including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, as well as Turkiye in April 2026.
