In an unfortunate turn of events, the highly anticipated Good Vibes Festival 2024 has been officially cancelled.
This announcement comes after a challenging year for the festival, which included a notable incident involving the British band The 1975.
Previously, the festival organisers had excitedly announced their return, planning a two-day event on July 20 and 21 at Resorts World Awana, Genting Highlands.
However, today (July 1), the organisers took to Instagram to inform fans of the event’s cancellation.
According to the post, the organisers had communicated with the authorities via a letter dated June 27, 2024.
It was conveyed that large-scale performances involving international artists were not to be held on July 20, 2024, and were to be rescheduled to a later date.
Respect for National Ceremony
This decision was made out of respect for the Coronation Ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
Given the nature of the Good Vibes Festival, which features multiple touring acts over several days, rescheduling the event was deemed impossible.
As a result, Future Sound Asia has announced the cancellation of the festival, which was originally scheduled for July 20 and 21, 2024.
Refunds for Ticket Purchasers
All ticket purchasers for GVF will automatically receive full refunds to the payment method used for their purchase.
The organisers expressed their gratitude for the understanding and patience of their loyal fans during this time.
