If you’re heading to Thailand soon, take note: carrying electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) into the country is strictly prohibited.
Since 2014, Thailand has enforced a ban on e-cigarettes, and recent reports remind tourists to steer clear of vaping in public spaces. In fact, customs authorities are stepping up their vigilance.
If you’re caught with e-cigarettes, you could face hefty fines or even jail time, according to China Press and Kosmo.

Meanwhile, Selangor is thinking about banning the sale of vapes and e-cigarettes. Before making a final decision, the government wants to hear from vape sellers and businesses that might be affected.
The main reason for the possible ban is health concerns, especially about young people vaping.
However, officials also know that banning vapes could hurt shops and companies that sell these products.
Right now, nothing is confirmed yet. Selangor is still gathering opinions before deciding whether to go ahead with the ban.
