A clip on Threads showing a pair of girls enjoying the breeze while seated on the sunroof of a moving Toyota Alphard has garnered online attention and outrage.
In said clip, it showed the Alphard weaving in and out of traffic along the highway, while the girls take in the scenery without a single care in the world despite the danger posed to their safety.
According to the caption, the incident reportedly took place at the Meru exit towards Jalan Jelapang-Simpang Pulai near the North-South Highway.
It also alleged that the Alphard was travelling at a speed of 100km/h.
Police on the hunt
It didn’t take long for the clip to catch the attention of police, who are now actively seeking out the Alphard driver.
Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Najib Hamzah said police were made aware of the matter after the clip was shared on Facebook.
He added police are now tracking down the Alphard owner and record a statement from those involved to aid investigations.
