A terrifying near-miss incident that looked straight out of a Hollywood thriller shocked netizens when a massive advertising banner suddenly fell from a high-rise billboard and landed directly onto a moving car during peak traffic.
The incident reportedly took place at around 5:25pm yesterday, believed to be along the Federal Highway, one of the busiest roads in the Klang Valley.
Scene straight out of Final Destination
A 5-second dashcam video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the large banner detaching from a towering billboard structure, estimated to be several storeys high, before swooping down and landing squarely on a car in motion.
The banner completely engulfed the vehicle, forcing the driver to slam the brakes, as other cars whizzed by. Miraculously, no injuries were reported.

Many online likened the shocking scene to something out of the horror film Final Destination, where freak accidents often end in disaster.
Netizens urge accountability
Social media users have called for the affected driver to file a formal complaint with local authorities, questioning the maintenance and safety of outdoor advertising structures — especially those mounted over public highways.
“It really landed on the black car… luckily, the surrounding cars were at a safe distance.”

“Sue the party responsible.”

“These days, no company still uses banner cloths like this anymore. Now it’s all modern ads with big TV screens.“
