Yesterday (June 17), four men disguised as security guards carried out an armed robbery at a jewellery store in a Kajang shopping mall.
The suspects, wielding a pistol and a sledgehammer, entered the store at 3.17 pm. They smashed the display cases and escaped with stolen jewelleries.

According to Buletin TV3, the Kajang District Deputy Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Nasir Drahman, reported that the suspects were armed with two pistols and a shotgun.
Before fleeing through the mall’s parking lot, they fired a shot into the store’s wall.
“All suspects were masked and wore dark gloves. They entered the first-floor store, broke the glass display cases with a sledgehammer, and took the jewellery,” stated Superintendent Mohd Nasir.

Police Seek Public’s Help for Information
He mentioned that the total value of the stolen items is still being assessed.
The police are examining CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses to gather more information.
“The case is being investigated under Section 3 of the Firearms Act 1971, which carries heavier penalties. If convicted, the suspects could face the death penalty, even if there were no injuries or fatalities,” he added.
