If you’re currently holding a full-time job, you’d probably have experienced workplace politics and colleagues who simply won’t get along with you despite your best efforts.
A foreigner working in Malaysia recently took to social media to lament about how hard it was to hold down a job, no thanks to unfriendly and snarky colleagues at the workplace.
Foreigner working in M’sia changes 8 jobs in 2 years
Taking to the social media platform Ricebowl, where individuals can share about their working experiences and grievances anonymously, the OP revealed that they had changed a total of eight jobs within a span of two years.

The OP also added that the longest record they held in keeping a job was six months, while the rest lasted less than that.
Needless to say, the OP was deeply distressed by this and went on to explain why they believed the cause for this was due to their colleagues and not themselves.
‘Where are all of the good people?’
In the post, the OP reiterated that they don’t think that their abilities were preventing them from keeping a job for a longer period of time, but the people they have to work with.
“It’s not that my abilities are particularly bad, but no matter where I work, I always seem to encounter unpleasant people. Because of poor interpersonal relationships, I end up resigning.

“Most of my colleagues are very snobbish. If they just ignored me, it would be fine, but I often run into those who mock me sarcastically or even badmouth me and report me behind my back,” ranted the OP.
The OP also added that the supervisors did little to intervene and even joined in the bullying.
At the end of the post, the OP asked why they had the misfortune of crossing paths with such individuals and wondered where all the “good people” went and whether the working culture in Malaysia was this toxic.
