A viral clip has recently surfaced online which showed a local man angrily confronting a foreigner who allegedly stole petrol from his motorbike.
Following the incident, police have since arrested the foreign man and his Malaysian accomplice and are probing them for theft.
Foreigner denies stealing petrol from motorbike
In the clip, the man behind the camera, who was also the motorbike’s owner, is seen yelling at the foreign man who was filling up a plastic bottle with petrol.

When the motorbike owner angrily questioned the foreigner why he was stealing petrol, the latter denied it, claiming that he was merely preventing more petrol from spilling out as he reportedly saw petrol leaking out from the vehicle.
However, the owner didn’t buy his argument at all and asked the foreigner whether he thought he was stupid before threatening to report him to the police.
A woman later appears in the frame, where she is seen trying to defuse the situation by apologising repeatedly.

Duo arrested by police
Iskandar Puteri police chief Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan later confirmed the incident, saying it had taken place at an apartment block in Tanjung Kupang, Johor, after a police report was lodged.
This then led to a Pakistani man and a local woman being detained by the apartment’s auxiliary policemen before being handed over to police, reported NST.

Kumarasan said the pair didn’t have any criminal records and test negative for drugs. Â Two bottles containing petrol and a pair of scissors were also seized by police.
A probe has been launched under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft, which provides a jail sentence of up to seven years or a fine, or both, upon conviction.
As for the Pakistani man, he’s also facing investigations under Section 15)1)(c) of the Immigration Act for overstaying.
Police are looking to seek a remand order for the at the Johor Bharu magistrate’s court today.
