A major fire broke out at the Puchong Industrial Zone in Selangor earlier today (Mar 14), engulfing at least five factories in flames.

Thick plumes of smoke filled the sky as the fire rapidly spread, causing severe losses for business owners.
The blaze erupted at around 11.45am, prompting the Puchong Fire and Rescue Department to rush to the scene after receiving an emergency call.

A spokesperson from the department confirmed to China Press that initial reports indicate the fire started at a furniture factory and a food factory. However, it remains unclear whether anyone was injured.

Meanwhile, the fire has spread to a total of five factories, including a food factory, an iron factory, a furniture factory, and a hardware factory.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
