Ex-Haidilao M’sian Staff Who Went Viral For Her Dance Moves Now Runs A Roadside Dessert Stall

A new life.
A former Haidilao employee in Malaysia, known for her energetic dance moves, has started her own dessert business after leaving the restaurant chain.

From viral sensation to small business owner

Bai Huining, also known as “Xiao Bai”, became popular on TikTok for dancing while working at Haidilao.

Many people visited the hotpot chain just to see her perform live.

She shared that she wanted to start her own business but didn’t know where to begin.

To take the first step, she decided to set up a roadside stall selling “bingfen” — a refreshing jelly dessert perfect for Malaysia’s hot weather.

I didn’t quit my job at Haidilao because of the viral dances. It was already part of my plan, and I felt it was time to move on and pursue what I truly enjoy.”

New journey through live streaming and street vending

While running the stall, Bai also livestreams to attract more customers and share her business journey online.

She admitted it’s not easy, but it’s a start toward building something on her own.
