Recently, Malaysia’s former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, once again proved that age is just a number.
Recently, the two-time Prime Minister of Malaysia stunned everyone as he was seen hitting speeds of 154km/h behind the wheel at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
This incredible feat was shared via Tun Dr Mahathir’s official Facebook account, where a clip shows him confidently behind the wheel, navigating the circuit with ease.
The sight of the two-time Prime Minister pushing the limits of speed at such an advanced age left viewers in awe.
In that 3-minute long video, Dr Mahathir sitting in the passenger seat of an Audi Q5 SUV, with Tan Sri Mohamed Azman Yahya, SIC’s non-executive chairperson, behind the wheel.
However, later on he switches to the driver’s seat, confidently taking control of the car and demonstrating his impressive driving abilities as he expertly navigates the challenging corners of the renowned circuit.
As Azman earlier navigated the circuit’s challenging bends, he took the opportunity to ask Tun Mahathir about the inspiration behind building this world-class track.
Tun Mahathir, who played a significant role in bringing the Sepang Circuit to life, demonstrated not just his love for motorsports but also his pride in Malaysia’s achievements on the global stage.
The clip has since garnered a flood of admiration and respect from Malaysians, with many leaving heartfelt messages in the comments section.
One user quipped, “Tun speeding, huh? Absolutely brilliant! Tun is Malaysia’s icon, past, present, and forever,” while another added, “Tun, you’re amazing!”
