‘Even A Dot Helps’ – M’sian Delivery Rider Begs Customers Not To Leave Them On Seen As WhatsApp May Ban Their Accounts

Don’t ghost your rider, your reply actually protects their job.
If you often ignore WhatsApp messages from delivery riders, you may want to stop doing that.

A J&T Express rider has revealed that not replying can actually get their WhatsApp accounts restricted, making their job much harder than most people realise.

Every day, delivery workers spend hours battling traffic, unpredictable weather and tight schedules just to make sure parcels reach customers safely.

But according to one rider, the biggest challenge is not the road conditions.
It is the silence from the people they deliver to.

“Please reply, even if it is just a dot”

The worker recently went viral after sharing a heartfelt message on TikTok through the account @hznrzli, where he pleaded with customers to show a bit of cooperation by responding to riders’ messages.

“I really want to ask this from customers, especially those who pay online and not through COD,” he said.

“Usually when a rider delivers the parcel, he will WhatsApp the customer. So please reply, even if it is just ‘thank you’, a sticker or a dot.”

He explained that many customers read the message but choose not to respond at all, which leads to bigger problems for riders.

WhatsApp can restrict or ban their accounts

According to him, when customers ignore messages completely, WhatsApp may flag the rider’s interactions as spam.

This can result in their account getting restricted or even banned, which affects their ability to do their job smoothly.

“When we cannot message you, we cannot inform you where the parcel was placed. If the item goes missing, both sides end up in trouble.

“When customers reply, WhatsApp will not mark us as scammers. But when there is no response at all, our accounts get banned because they think we are spamming,” he explained.

A small gesture that helps riders a lot

The rider ended by reminding customers that replying takes only a few seconds but can help prevent complications, especially in cases of misplaced parcels or delivery issues.

For riders who spend long days on the road, a simple response can reduce misunderstandings, avoid unnecessary bans and keep the delivery process smooth for everyone involved.
