Have you ever tried striking up a conversation with strangers only to be ignored—or worse, outright rejected? Well, one netizen recently experienced this awkwardness, not with people, but with two dogs in a car!
The amusing incident was shared on Xiaohongshu by a user with the handle @Tonypoh汤尼宝宝, who uploaded a video of his encounter with two dogs lounging in a yellow car with the windows down.
Conversation rejected
In the video, the man approaches the car and addresses the dogs with a cheerful, “Hi, where are you going?”
What followed was both hilarious and dramatic: the dog sitting in the front seat barked loudly at him, clearly uninterested in chit-chat.
Meanwhile, the dog in the back seat stayed silent, offering no support to the man’s failed attempts.
After a few more unsuccessful efforts to connect, the man eventually walked away, leaving the dogs to their car-bound chill session.
Saw the owner returned to the car shortly
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the man shared more details about the encounter, which took place at around 11 a.m. on December 24th.
“I was driving to buy some groceries at 99 Speedmart in JB when I noticed these two dogs waiting in the car with the windows open,” he said.
He also mentioned that he saw the owner returning to the car shortly after.
“I’ve seen dogs in cars plenty of times, but I’ve never tried to talk to them—and definitely not been refused like this,” he added.
