If Chinese New Year shopping is already on your to-do list, Lotus’s has a simple suggestion: since you’re going anyway, why not make it more fun?
For CNY 2026, Lotus’s is rolling out its festive campaign Lotus’s Ekstra OngSem 真好价,更HO SEH!, where grocery runs come with games, workshops, roadshows, and a very eye-catching prize pool of RM888,888.
Yes, this one is real, and the campaign runs from 1 January to 25 February 2026.
CNY Shopping, But Your Receipt Got Chance One

Here’s how it works, no headache required.
All you need to do is:
- Spend at least RM128 in a single receipt at Lotus’s, either in-store or online
- Submit your receipt through the Lotus’s Malaysia app
- And you’ll stand a chance to win from a total prize pool of RM888,888
The prizes include weekly Lotus’s e-voucher rewards as well as main prizes combining cash and e-vouchers, with multiple winners announced throughout the campaign.
When Kids Got Things To Do, Parents Win Too
Anyone who shops with kids knows the struggle. One minute they’re okay, next minute they’re bored.
That’s where the CNY roadshows come in at selected Lotus’s stores.
One of the crowd favourites is the Little ‘Huat’ Horse DIY Workshop, where kids can decorate their own horse to bring home, very on theme for the Year of the Horse. While they’re busy crafting, parents can finally enjoy a few peaceful minutes of shopping.
There’s also the Huat Dice Challenge, where families roll a giant dice and instantly win festive rewards. No skills, no stress, just try luck.
Save These Dates
The roadshows will be happening at selected Lotus’s outlets on these dates:
- Kepong: 8–11 January
- Cheras: 31 January – 1 February
- Desa Tebrau, Johor: 7–8 February
- Penang eGate: 14–15 February
The games and workshops are tied to these locations, but the Ekstra OngSem Belanja & Menang contest itself is open nationwide, both in-store and online, throughout the campaign period.
Yes, Even The Radio Is Coming
Because why not make it more festive?
Shoppers can also meet the MY FM DJs during the roadshows, happening from 12pm to 2pm at selected locations.
Yoon will be making appearances at Kepong (10 January), Cheras (31 January), and Desa Tebrau (7 February), while Jack Yap will be at Penang eGate (14 February), adding some live music, banter, and extra CNY vibes while you shop.
CNY Shopping Still Same, Just More Fun

This year, Lotus’s is at least making it feel more fun, more festive, and a lot more huat. With roadshows, kids’ workshops, games, and a chance to win a share of RM888,888, your grocery run might end up being the highlight of your CNY prep.
So if you’re already heading to Lotus’s, keep an eye out for the Ekstra OngSem signage, let the kids play, roll the dice, and see where your receipt takes you.
