BUKIT MERTAJAM– In Malaysia, it’s very common to see vendors walking along the roadside in hopes that those passing by would purchase their goods.
However, more often than not, it has also posed a hazard for motorists, especially along major roads.
In a viral dashcam video, the driver of a Proton Waja decided to stop in the middle of the road out of the blue just to buy a packet of mango pickle.
‘Oh look, tasty mangoes!’
After driving past a traffic light, the car then comes to a sudden halt and the driver is seen buying mango pickle from a vendor.
Little did the driver know that his spontaneous decision had caused two vehicles behind to collide with each other.
What made the situation all the more annoying was the fact that the driver simply drove away after getting the mango pickle without getting down to check on the other drivers.
According to the video’s description, the accident is believed to have taken place at Bukit Minyak, Penang.
“Is the mango pickle that tasty?”
The video has since triggered a storm of mixed reactions from netizens, with many slamming the driver as rude and selfish.
Some also noticed that the car bore a Penang number plate. Hello, don’t mempersiasuikan us Penangites, can bo?
