Another day has passed, and yet another instance of Singapore-registered car owners flaunting the law has surfaced again.
This time, it took place at a petrol station in Johor yesterday (Aug 14), sparking an outpour of anger and indignation among netizens.
Refuelled SUV with RON95 petrol
In a video shared by a Facebook group named Community Roda Johor – CRJ, it showed a man clad in a blue t-shirt and denim shorts pumping RON95 into his black Toyota SUV.

The camera then pans briefly to the car number plate, where it was revealed that it the vehicle was registered in Singapore.
After refuelling the car, the man then closes the fuel cap and takes the receipt before driving away.
According to the caption, the incident occurred at a petrol station located in front of a factory at Jalan Pandan in Johor.
The OP also claimed that the petrol station staff said they weren’t aware of the man pumping RON95 into his Singapore-registered vehicle when confronted.

A report has since been lodged with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living (KPDN) in Johor.
Reactions
Unsurprisingly, the man’s actions didn’t sit well with netizens, who slammed him for breaking the law openly.
One speculated that he was using a Malaysian bank card that allowed him to pump RON95 without being detected.

Another netizen slammed the person who filmed the man for not getting out from the car and confronting him.

Meanwhile, a netizen who claimed to be Singaporean called the man “stubborn” for refusing to abide by Malaysia’s laws and apologised on his behalf, saying that it deeply embarrassed him.
