A woman has sparked a fierce debate over hosts using disposable plates to serve food to guests during festive occasions.
In a now-viral Threads post, the OP expressed her distaste for those who opted for environmentally-friendly cutleries and plates, labelling them as “lazy individuals”.

She then went to make a harsh comparison between cats and hosts who use disposable plates and cutleries:
“If I am served like this when visiting someone’s house during the festive season, I definitely won’t eat it.
Do they think I’m a cat or something? Even cats eat off glassware!”
Backlash
The OP’s stance on the issue didn’t win her any favours or sympathy from netizens, who didn’t waste time calling her out for her arrogance and sense of entitlement.
‘Things will be so much easier for the host if you choose not to eat. I suggest you have your meal on banana leaves or eat it straight from a slipper.’

‘Even petty things like this can be turned into an issue. I don’t think you’re fit to be a cat as I think a pig suits you better.’

Some also slammed the OP for her ungratefulness, saying she should be thankful that she got invited to open houses in the first place.
