Diesel Price Set At RM3.35 Per Litre Across Peninsular M’sia Starting Monday

The diesel subsidy will end, raising the price from RM2.15 to RM3.35 per litre on June 10.

The price of diesel at all retail stations across Peninsular Malaysia will be set at RM3.35 per litre starting Monday, as announced by Second Finance Minister, Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan.

The announcement was made during a press conference on Diesel Subsidy Targeting at the Ministry of Finance Complex today, reported Harian Metro.

The minister highlighted that the new targeted subsidy approach is expected to generate significant savings for the government.

“The government is projected to save RM4 billion annually through this targeted diesel subsidy initiative,” stated Senator Amir Hamzah Azizan.

In addition to the new pricing, the government has also introduced financial assistance for private diesel vehicle owners within the B40 income group.

“A total of 30,000 private diesel vehicle owners from the B40 category will receive RM200 each through the BUDI Madani program starting tomorrow,” the minister announced.
