A Proton authorised dealership has taken full responsibility after a dashcam video showing a customer’s brand new S70 crashing inside a service centre went viral on social media.
The footage, widely shared on social media, captured the car being driven at a high speed within the service centre compound before losing control and slamming into a wall.
Took full responsibility for repairs
The impact caused severe damage to the rear left passenger door, sparking outrage among netizens who criticised the careless handling of a customer’s vehicle.

Following the incident, Regal Motors Holdings Sdn. Bhd, an authorised dealer, confirmed that it has fully replaced and repaired the affected Proton S70 at no cost to the customer.
In a TikTok video uploaded by the company, Regal Motors Service Manager Muhammad Afdhal issued a public apology to the car owner on behalf of the dealership.
Everything has been repaired properly. We sincerely hope the owner will continue to support Regal Motors even after this incident,” he said.
New door replacement and full repaint
The dealership replaced the damaged door with a new unit and repaired and repainted all affected areas to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
In the video, the customer was seen inspecting the car after the repairs and appeared satisfied with how the situation was handled.

Regal Motors also confirmed that the customer will receive a full waiver on service charges for the rest of the year.
As an added gesture of goodwill, the dealership gifted the customer a full Proton S70 bodykit, estimated to be worth around RM3,000.
The company also offered to repair any existing scratches and dents on the car for free during the bodykit installation.

In a separate statement, Regal Motors said an internal review has been carried out and internal improvements have been implemented to strengthen service procedures and safety standards going forward.
