Malaysia is home to a melting pot of cultures, where people of different backgrounds live together in harmony.
But while we often hear about racial unity, it’s moments of genuine connection that truly bring it to life—and one recent TikTok video did just that.
The clip, shared by @miszzhanafirmien, shows a touching scene of Chinese and Indian individuals joining Muslims for iftar at a mosque in Kelantan.

The gathering, part of a community-driven iftar program, welcomed non-Muslim guests to break fast together, creating a beautiful display of togetherness.
The video quickly caught the attention of many, as such moments of inclusivity don’t often make their way onto social media.
Adding to the warm sentiment, the video poster captioned, “Even the Chinese and Indian communities are enjoying buka puasa. There’s no racism here—this is Kelate (Kelantan), boh!”

The warmth of the scene resonated deeply with netizens, with many pointing out Kelantan’s unique sense of interethnic closeness.
One user shared, “I’ve been to many states, and I have to admit that Kelantan’s interethnic bonds are different from anywhere else. Sometimes, I get confused if someone is Chinese or Malay because their dialect is exactly the same.”

Another chimed in, “Now this is what true unity looks like; one heart, mutual respect.”
