A foreign traveller from China was arrested at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) after allegedly confronting and assaulting a female immigration officer during departure checks.
Found no valid entry records
The incident happened on Tuesday evening when authorities stopped the woman along with a man and two children.

Officials stated that the group was flagged during a routine inspection due to the absence of valid entry records into Malaysia.
The situation escalated after the woman reportedly became verbally abusive.

Acted aggresively
She later grabbed the officer’s headscarf and shoved her against a pillar near the counter.
Despite being warned several times, she allegedly continued acting aggressively, leading to airport security stepping in to detain her.
The officer complained of a headache on the right side of her head and body aches, and was subsequently referred to Hospital Cyberjaya for treatment.

The officer involved sustained minor injuries, including swelling, a headache and body pain.
Union condemns assault
The Immigration Services Union of Peninsular Malaysia has also condemned the assault on Wednesday (Aug 13).
Its president, Ajeet Singh, told NST that the union takes the incident seriously and has urged the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) to take proactive measures to safeguard officers on duty as well as travellers.
Any action that contravenes Malaysian law can be considered a challenge to the country’s legal sovereignty, and every tourist is obliged to respect the laws of the country they are visiting.”
The case is now being handled by the police for further investigation.
