Following the recent gas pipeline explosion at Putra Heights, many residents were left without vehicles after their cars were damaged in the blast.
In an effort to ease their burden, Chery Malaysia has stepped in to offer 50 cars under a temporary vehicle loan scheme.
The news was shared by Selangor State Executive Councillor Ng Sze Han, who said the initiative was launched after he visited the affected area and noticed that many families had lost their means of transport.
He later reached out to Chery Malaysia, who responded promptly and agreed to provide the cars free of charge to help victims get back on their feet.
The initiative is part of a joint effort between Chery Malaysia, the Selangor state government, and local authorities overseeing rescue and recovery operations.
Applications for the temporary car assistance can be made through a dedicated link shared by Ng on his Facebook page.
