Chen Tang Jie & Toh Ee Wei Reunite As Mixed Doubles Pair After Sudden Split Last Month

In a move that has sparked optimism among Malaysian badminton fans, national mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei have officially resumed their partnership, just few weeks after announcing their separation.

The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) confirmed the decision today, stating that it came after both players expressed their intention to reunite and following detailed discussions with the coaching team.

The decision follows a request from the two players and much discussion between the coaching team and the players.”

Eyes back on the international stage

With the reunion now confirmed, the pair will be making their competitive return at the upcoming Singapore Open, set to take place from May 27 to June 1, according to The Star.

There is also a possibility that they may be included in the national lineup for the Sudirman Cup in Xiamen, China, which begins on Apr 27.

Their decision to reunite has been widely welcomed by fans and the badminton community, who are hopeful the pair can rediscover their top form and continue representing Malaysia on the world stage.
