Crossing a busy road is very dangerous for stray dogs and cats, where many have been injured severely or lost their lives in the process.
Yesterday (June 16), netizen Muhamad Syafiq Ismail published a video of him rescuing two cats off a busy road and it has since gone viral.
At the beginning of the video, Syafiq crosses the road and grabs an unconscious cat that was hit by a car, where he noticed that its head was wounded.
After placing the cat at a safe spot, he realized that there was another cat, presumably the previous cat’s companion, stuck in the middle of the road.
Not wanting to see it suffer the same fate, Syafiq crossed the road again and rescued the terrified cat.
“I am bringing it to see its friend for the last time.”
After the cat was brought to the roadside, it immediately went to check on its companion, only to find it lying motionless.
“Poor cat. They must have grown up together, played together, and even ate and drank together.
“Any animal lover would understand,” Syafiq wrote.

The video broke the hearts of netizens, where many expressed their sadness over the cat gazing somberly at its dead companion’s body. They also praised Syafiq for his kindness in rescuing them.
