A cat in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, has gone viral for behaving more like a strict parent than a predator.
In a video shared by TikTok user @mimizaki99, the cat is seen repeatedly slapping a rat, almost like it’s scolding it for misbehaving.
The hilarious footage quickly made its rounds online, leaving netizens both amused and baffled.
‘Looked like the cat was giving the rat a lecture’
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the OP revealed that the incident took place on July 11 at their shop in Kota Bharu.
But contrary to what many believed, the rat wasn’t caught on the spot.
The cat had actually caught the rat elsewhere and brought it back to the shop, as if it was proudly presenting a gift to its owner which, unexpectedly, turned out to be a live rat.
It was like she wanted to show me the ‘gift’ she brought back, which happened to be a live rat.”
To prevent chaos in the shop, the OP quickly pinned the rat down using a broom.
The cat, who had proudly delivered her prize, sat facing the trapped rodent and began slapping it repeatedly with her paw.
