Scammers have been getting creative in luring people to give them money. But to what extent will this continue?
Here’s a story of how a netizen claims her family of seven suffered a loss of RM43,330.
M’sian family allegedly scammed RM43,330
In a viral X post, a Malaysian netizen claim she have been allegedly cheated by a travel agency after paying RM43,330 for a Switzerland holiday package for seven people. The deal included six days and five nights, at RM5,990 per person.
They said they were promised flight tickets, itinerary, and all other services, but the agency allegedly began ghosting them as the trip date approached.

On social media, the netizen called out the agency founder for refusing to fulfill what was paid for.
After a heated argument between them, the netizen decided to post her story online and has asked for help to make the travel agency go viral in hopes of pressuring them to return what was paid.

Please make this post viral. She is a scammer. Few months before the trip she ghosted us.
They also accused the founder of the travel agency of refusing to pay back their money or resolve the situation.
Red flags
Many netizens shared their thoughts regarding the case, with some pointing out what were obvious red flags.
‘Any travel agency promoting a 7D6N trip to Switzerland for under RM8,000 per person is a scammer. Switzerland isn’t cheap, guys.‘

‘RM6K per pax to Switzerland is a red flag. Flights alone cost around RM4K, not counting hotels, meals, and activities. A RM10K package would be more believable. Seems like they’re using new money to pay old debts.’
