Among all snacks sold in Malaysia, none is as iconic as Super Ring, the wildly popular cheese-flavoured snack.
And it seems that K-pop stars are digging it too, as seen in a recent live broadcast featuring BTS’ J-Hope and TWICE’s Sana which recently went viral on social media.
J-Hope shows off Super Ring snack
In the clip, J-Hope opens a fridge jam-packed with various snacks that he amassed during his tours.
He then pulls out a packet of Super Ring, which he said he bought it from Singapore.

When asked by Sana how does it taste like, J-Hope described it as “super savory and really tasty”, adding that it even makes him crave for beer right after having it.
Curious over its taste, Sana tries the snack out and immediately takes a strong liking for it, addind that ‘Super Ring’ melts in one’s mouth, akin to the popular American snack Cheetos.

‘Super Ring mentioned!’
In the comment section, Malaysians were proud to see a local snack being endorsed by such a huge K-pop star like J-Hope and expressed their excitement.
‘I KNOW THAT SUPER RING FROM MILES AWAY!!! OUR MALAYSIAN PRIDE .’

‘Super Ring is the king of cheese snack(s) in Malaysia.’

However, some were also quick to correct J-Hope in his statement that Super Ring originated from Singapore.
‘Even though it’s from Malaysia, just because it’s sold in Singapore, he thought Super Ring is from Singapore. It’s sad being Malaysian.‘

‘I even shouted at my phone, ‘IT’S FROM MALAYSIA LAH!’
