KELANTAN – In most villages, a bridge often serves as a vital route for the transportation of essential goods or daily use. However, this particular bridge met an early demise, much to the villagers’ dismay.
Today (June 1), a bridge connecting Kampung Tanjung Jering and Kampung Sentosa in Bachok, Kelantan, collapsed after a tipper truck attempted to cross over it.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the bridge was used by the villagers as a “lorong tikus” (illegal route) to circumvent roadblocks set up by the police.

From the pictures, you can see that the bridge has totally crumbled under the sheer weight of the truck.

The post has attracted attention and concern from netizens, with many expressing sympathy for the villagers.

Some also suggested that the driver be punished or compensate the villagers for destroying the bridge.

One even joked that an “elephant” tried crossing a “rat lane”, causing it to collapse.

Other comments went even further, with some speculating that the driver was secretly helping the authorities to enforce FMCO SOPs by destroying the bridge.
