Body of woman holding newborn found along roadside
In the statement, Kulai district police chief Superintendent Tan Seng Lee said police received a report concerning two bodies being found at around 8.15am.
Not long after, a team of police officers were dispatched to the scene at Jalan Impiana 5, where they saw the corpse of a woman and a newborn baby boy in her arms.

“Based on preliminary investigations, no visible injuries were found on the woman, whom we believe is an Indonesian national, and her newborn child who still had the umbilical cord attached to him.
“The woman was also dressed in a sarong while the child was wearing a pair of diapers,” he said.
According to Sin Chew Daily, police suspect the bodies were cleaned before it was dumped by the roadside as no traces of blood could be found on them or at the scene.
The bodies were found by an office worker who passed by and immediately contacted the authorities upon seeing the corpses.

Police cordoned off the area at 10.20am to collect evidence while a forensic team arrived at the scene to uncover the cause for the duo’s death.
The case is now being probed under Section 316 of the Penal Code for causing death to an unborn child, which carries a maximum jail term of 10 years and a fine.
