Two individuals were killed and two others were left seriously injured following a horrific crash that occurred last night (Dec 17).
According to Astro Awani, the accident involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Hyundai Matrix near a U-turn at Jalan Lencongan Barat in Alor Setar, Kedah.

The Malay news portal reported that the accident took place at around 8.50pm, which saw a male victim was thrown out of the Mercedes Benz due to the impact of the crash before landing on the car roof.
The other victim, a woman, was flung onto the road after she was ejected from the vehicle. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
As for the two other victims, they were severely injured in the crash while the Hyundai Matrix driver sustained minor injuries.
An eyewitness named Raja Asmah Raja Jaafar told Astro Awani that she heard a loud crash and rushed out to the scene which was about 50 meters in front of her stall.
I saw the Mercedes spin about six times before hitting the road divider and saw a victim on the roadside, two more on the road, and one on the car roof.
“Out of the four of them, two were lying motionless, while the one on the road initially sat up but then laid back down. As for the victim on the car roof, he wasn’t moving at all,” she said.
Senior Fire Officer II Salim Abdul Razak from the Jalan Raja Fire and Rescue Station said they received an emergency call at 8.53pm.
He added that the two critically injured victims were sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital for treatment.
