A pair of resourceful mynas stole the spotlight near Kent Ridge MRT station, displaying an unexpected level of intelligence and teamwork to navigate their way out of the building.
Posted on XiaoHongShu, the video began when both birds were spotted standing in front of the mall’s automatic glass doors, which were firmly shut.

Birds skillfully trigger the sliding doors
While one bird waited patiently near the entrance, its feathered companion took matters into its own wings.
Flying up to activate the motion sensor, the bird successfully triggered the automatic sliding doors, opening the way for their escape.

In a scene that appeared almost choreographed, both mynas exited the mall effortlessly.
One took off gracefully into the air, while the other hopped its way through the open doors, completing their ingenious escape.
“No their first time.”
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the individual who captured the video shared that the incident occurred on December 17 at noon, near the entrance of the Burger King outlet located above the Kent Ridge MRT station.
I had previously noticed birds activating the automatic doors while I was at Burger King. So, when I saw the doors closed and a pair of birds waiting nearby, I had a hunch that I could capture the moment on video.” The observer noted.
