In most biology classes, students expect to learn through books, charts, and the occasional hands-on experiment.
But for one class, a routine dissection turned into a full-on comedy show after a frog decided to make a daring escape and the entire scene went viral on TikTok.
The now-viral video, shared by TikTok user @cikgujoyy, has racked up thousands of views and comments, proving once again that science labs can be full of surprises.
From serious science to screams & chaos
According to the video, everything started like any normal biology lesson. The teacher held up a frog, ready to place it into a red bucket before the students began their dissection.

But out of nowhere, the frog leaped out of the container and straight toward another table, sending one student screaming and sprinting across the room.
The 27-second clip showed the frog hopping across the lab floor while other students stood at a safe distance, watching in shock (and maybe a little fear).
Thankfully, the teacher quickly turned into the day’s hero, catching the runaway frog and putting it back in its place ending the chaos before it got any worse.
The hilarious moment didn’t just make the whole class laugh, it also caught the attention of TikTok users who flooded the comments section with jokes and their own wild lab memories.
‘Is that a frog or a megalodon? Why is it so big?’ one user wrote.
Another added, ‘Back in matriculation, a rat suddenly moved during dissection, and the entire class, including the lecturer, ran for their lives!’
‘Even I got nervous!’
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the teacher shared more about what went down after the viral incident.
“Yes, the students managed to finish the dissection successfully, and the learning objectives were achieved. At first, they were quite scared, but after some encouragement from me, their fear disappeared. They even enjoyed learning the correct techniques for frog dissection,” he explained.

When asked if this was the first time such chaos had happened, he laughed.
“Not at all! Every year, there are always funny incidents. But this year was different because the frog was huge, even the lab assistant was scared to help!”
He also admitted that he wasn’t as fearless as he appeared.
“I was mentally prepared for frogs jumping and students screaming, but when I saw the size of the frog, it was as big as a kitten, even I got nervous.
Of course, in front of my students, I had to act brave, but inside, only God knows how scared I was. In previous years, we only used small frogs. This year’s one was something else!”
As for future experiments, he said safety will now be a bigger priority.
“I’ll definitely be more careful with procedures and equipment after this. These experiments are important because who knows? Maybe one or two of these students will become doctors someday.”
