“700 staff from XXXXX Malaysia were laid off. Since they’re all losing their jobs, for companies looking for employees, please share links so they can apply. Stay strong, everyone,” the anonymous user wrote.
This revelation quickly gained traction, amassing over 600,000 views and sparking heated discussions across the internet.
Some netizens blamed the growing reliance on artificial intelligence (AI) for the sudden layoffs.
One frustrated user shared their thoughts: “And people still say AI is good for the future. Absolute rubbish. Just yesterday, voice actors in the gaming industry were outraged because studios want to use AI to dub their voices.”
Other netizens chimed in, voicing their concerns for the employees.
One comment, in particular, resonated with many: “This is what I fear most. After settling into a stable job, being laid off just like that? If you’re single, you might be able to manage. But if you’ve got a family, children, and bank loans—this is a nightmare.”
