Another document forgery case has surfaced in the city—this time involving fake work permits being sold at just RM50 each.
A 30-year-old Bangladeshi national managed to pocket RM50,000 by printing fake work permits and charging RM50 for each.

Caught red-handed at his ‘office’
His operation, however, came crashing down when immigration officers raided his ‘workplace’ at Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin in Kuala Lumpur recently.
According to Kosmo!, during the 9.30am raid, the man was caught red-handed using a computer to process counterfeit Temporary Employment Visit Passes (e-PLKS).
The Immigration Director-General Datuk Zakaria Shaaban said the suspect offered fake e-PLKS for RM50 each and personally handled everything—from processing and printing to forging related business documents.
Another raid, more arrests
In a separate raid on Jalan Masjid, Kuala Lumpur, three Indian nationals aged between 39 and 64 were also arrested for possessing a large stash of foreign passports without proper authorisation.
The raid uncovered 504 foreign passports, four computers, four printers, 23 CIDB cards, multiple fake e-PLKS documents, 40 i-Kads, and RM94,332 in cash.
All four men are being investigated under immigration and passport laws, with their cases now handled by the Immigration Department Headquarters in Putrajaya.
Seven locals also summoned
The immigration department has also issued summonses to seven Malaysians to assist with the investigation.
They are required to appear at the Enforcement Division in Putrajaya under Section 40A of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
