Baby Fetus Found In Bukit Jalil Garbage Truck, Police Yet To Identify Those Involved

Investigation is ongoing.
A baby fetus was found inside a garbage truck in Bukit Jalil, prompting police to launch an investigation to trace those involved in the case.

According to Harian Metro, Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said authorities are currently working to identify individuals linked to the incident, while also determining where the bag containing the fetus was originally placed before it was collected by the garbage truck.

He added that the fetus is believed to be approximately 25 weeks old, but police have yet to confirm its identity.

At this point, investigations are still ongoing. We are gathering information from members of the public and hope the community will come forward with any information related to this case,” he said.

Datuk Fadil noted that both the identity of the fetus and the individuals involved have yet to be identified.

He was speaking to reporters during a press conference after attending the launch of the Taman Angkat programme at Dataran PPR Seri Alam, Phase Two, today (13 Dec).

Earlier, Cheras District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Aidil Bolhassan said police have recorded statements from four individuals to assist with the investigation.

He also confirmed that the fetus, which was male and measured approximately 35 centimetres in length, was found with injuries, including to the abdominal area, a fractured skull, and a severed umbilical cord.

Police received a report on the discovery at 12.51pm on Thursday (11 Dec).

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact the police to assist with ongoing investigations.
