In conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebrations, police will be ramping up spot checks not only at roadblocks, but also posts uploaded on social media such as Facebook, Bernama reported.
“This will ensure that the government’s instructions to curb the spread of the COVID-19 are adhered to.”
“Although the roads have been deserted for several days now, thorough inspections will still be carried out by more than 160 PDRM officers,” said Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Muhammad Mat Yusop.
He further added that action will be taken towards social media posts showing netizens not following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Muhammad revealed that more monitoring teams have been added as house visitations might increase after the Aidilfitri prayers.
Meanwhile, Nilai District Police Chief Supt Mohd Fazly Ab Rahman said their house-to-house inspection on Hari Raya found no SOP violations at a housing area in Nilai Impian.
