Several parts of Selangor were hit hard by flash floods on Friday morning (Apr 11), after hours of relentless rain left roads submerged, homes inundated, and traffic in chaos.
Among the affected areas were Shah Alam, Petaling, Klang, and Puchong.
Social media was quickly flooded with videos showing murky water pouring into residential compounds, submerging streets and cutting off access in certain areas.
In Puchong, residents reported floodwaters creeping into homes as early as 1.30am. By 7.45am, areas like Koi Prima and Taman Mas were already heavily flooded, with cars half-submerged and main roads barely passable.
Flooding also led to massive traffic jams along the Puchong South expressway heading toward USJ.
Those who had to travel for work were especially affected.

Over in Shah Alam, Kampung Padang Jawa saw water levels rise up to two feet, affecting 20 homes and three residents, according to Astro Awani.
In the Petaling district, Kampung Tengah experienced similar flood levels, impacting six individuals from 20 homes.
A relief centre (PPS) was opened at Masjid Putra Heights to shelter affected families.
In Klang, floodwaters reached up to two feet in Taman Seri Jaya, prompting evacuations. Eight people were affected, and a PPS was activated at Sekolah Kebangsaan Binjai to accommodate them.
