Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has welcomed the Employees Provident Fund’s 2025 dividend announcement, describing it as a reflection of strong fund management and continued public trust in Malaysia’s retirement savings system.
He shared his thoughts in a Facebook post following the announcement of a 6.15 per cent dividend for both Conventional and Syariah savings for the financial year 2025.

RM79.6 billion to be distributed
In his post, Anwar highlighted that the 6.15 per cent dividend will involve a total distribution of RM79.6 billion to EPF members nationwide.
Alhamdulillah, the Employees Provident Fund has declared a dividend of 6.15 per cent for Conventional and Syariah savings for 2025, with a total distribution of RM79.6 billion,” he wrote.
He noted that the payout was achieved despite challenging global market conditions.
Reflects strong investment management

According to Anwar, the performance demonstrates the strength of EPF’s investment management strategies amid global economic uncertainties and market volatility.
He said the achievement shows the fund’s ability to safeguard members’ savings while delivering steady returns.
At the same time, he added that the result reflects Malaysians’ continued confidence in the national retirement savings system.
MADANI government welcomes performance
Anwar said the MADANI Government welcomes the dividend performance and will continue implementing sustainable policies to drive economic growth.
He added that efforts will remain focused on improving the well being of the rakyat, so that every citizen can plan for their future with greater confidence and dignity.
