Aiyo so nice! Malaysia’s Paralympic outfit wins praises from the Tokyo Olympics Committee

The 16th Summer Paralympics officially kicked off following the lighting of the Olympic torch yesterday (Aug 24).

Malaysia’s contingent, led by Bonnie Bunyau Gustin and Siti Nor Iasah Mohamad Ariffin, paraded in the stadium donned in outfits which paid tribute to the national flag.

The colourful outfit soon caught the eyes of the Tokyo 2020 organising committee, who took to their official Twitter account to express their love for it.

Aiyo! We just wanted an excuse to use that. We just love your outfits Malaysia!”

It didn’t take long for Malaysians to bask in the limelight and flooded the comment section to express their support for the national team while thanking the committee for their compliments.
