Thought firefighters only fought fires? In today’s news, they found themselves in a wild scuffle with a boar during a relocation attempt — and things got intense.
A viral video circulating on social media shows the tense encounter, where the firefighter initially tried to probe the wild boar with a stick-like object.
The animal, seemingly provoked, charged forward aggressively.
Fell to the ground while retreating
In an attempt to retreat, the firefighter lost his footing and fell to the ground. The boar then tried to lunge at him, forcing the man to raise his legs defensively to keep it at bay.
Seeing their teammate in danger, other members of the team rushed in and struck the boar several times with sticks.
After taking a few hits, the boar appeared to calm down, giving the fallen firefighter a chance to get back on his feet and escape the dangerous situation.
Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
