A routine day turned unexpectedly dramatic when a cat was found trapped behind an ATM machine, sparking a rescue mission that has since entertained netizens online.
The incident, which was captured on video and shared on TikTok, showed a frightened cat struggling to escape from the back of the ATM.
Even those present at the scene were baffled as to how the cat managed to squeeze itself into such a tight space in the first place.
In the viral video, the cat could be seen panicking and wriggling in an attempt to free itself from behind the ATM.
Staff at the location initially tried several ways to help the cat out, but none worked.
With the situation getting tricky, they decided to call in the Angkatan Pertahanan Malaysia (APM) for assistance.

In a determined effort to save the cat, one firefighter ended up inserting half his body into the upper compartment of the ATM machine to reach the trapped feline.
Hiss legs could be seen dangling in the air as he worked to retrieve the cat. Thankfully, the rescue was successful and the cat was safely removed.
