As the lockdown prolongs with no definite end to it, unemployment has skyrocketed, along with the number of households struggling to put food on the table.
As a joint effort to unite Malaysians together in addressing the crisis, the #BenderaPutih (White Flag) movement was born and it has taken social media by storm, with many encouraging destitute families to plant a white flag at their homes as a call for help.

As more flags are being raised throughout the country, 99 Speedmart recently announced its plan to be a part of the movement as well.
In a Facebook post, 99 Speedmart urged Malaysians to send them a picture of the house (along with the white flag) and its location if it’s spotted near one of their outlets.
You can contact them through WhatsApp at 010-500 0099 or drop them a private message on their official Facebook page.
