Malaysians were left outraged after a viral post alleged that a young boy was assaulted by a teacher for reportedly entering the wrong classroom.

In a post shared by Rosli Sabar on the Facebook group Kuala Selangor Official last Thursday (Sept 5), it showed a photo of a young boy whose right cheek was left red and slightly swollen.
On a closer look, the outline of several fingers could be seen being imprinted on the boy’s cheek, suggesting that he was harshly slapped across the face by someone.
According to the caption, Rosli alleged that the boy, who was his 8-year-old grandson, was slapped by a teacher at his school in Selangor for entering the wrong classroom.
He also added that he would be confronting the teacher in question for the alleged assault and asked whether other parents had witnessed their kids being abused by the same teacher in the past.
Netizens outraged
The post has since garnered over 4,000 reactions, where netizens were angered by the teacher’s uncalled act of aggression towards the boy.
‘Hot-tempered teachers don’t deserve to be academic tutors.’
‘The boy’s just a kid. There’s no need to slap him for entering the wrong classroom. Has the teacher gone mad?’
Meanwhile, one urged Rosli to lodge a police report against the teacher for physically assaulting the boy.
