An elderly and disabled man who was making his way to undergo a dialysis session lost consciousness and subsequently died inside his car early this morning.
According to China Press, the incident took place along the Kuantan Bypass not far from the Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport at around 6am.
Died inside car
The Chinese daily reported that the victim, identified as 72-year-old Ng Ngan Chai, was single and lived with his two younger brothers.

It is understood that while driving to the dialysis centre, Ng suddenly felt unwell and stopped his car by the roadside before resting inside the vehicle.
When passersby later came across the vehicle and tried in vain to wake him up, they realised he was already dead.
Described as ‘lively’ person despite illness, disability
The head of the village where Ng lived at later told China Press that he received a phone call concerning Ng’s death at 7am and was shocked by it.

The village head added Ng had left his home at around 5am for dialysis and that he had just seen Ng two days ago.
“At the time, he looked very energetic and showed no signs of anything unusual. Everything seemed normal. I never expected to receive such tragic news this morning. It’s truly shocking.
“Although he suffered from several chronic illnesses and had a leg amputated, Ng was still in good spirits and had loud, booming voice.”
Ng’s body has since been sent to the Ji Shan Hall for funeral arrangements.
