6yo girl dies after getting trapped between folding table
According to the news portal, the victim, Nur Aqifah Humaira Abdullah, was playing alone at the back of the townhouse rented by her mother.
During the 4.15pm incident, her mother, 10-year-old brother, and 9-year-old sister were at home but realised there was no sound coming from the area where was Nur Aqifah was reported to be playing.
When they went to check on her, they found her trapped between the iron bars of a folding table and sought help from neighbors to send her to the hospital.

Unfortunately, Nur Afiqah couldn’t be saved and passed away while undergoing treatment.
‘Loved to play in an extreme manner’
Speaking to MalaysiaGazette about the tragedy, Nur Afiqah’s mother, Riana Fitriasih Kusnan, said her youngest child “loved playing in extreme ways”, often endangering herself despite being warned repeatedly.
She said that her daughter didn’t show any unusual behavior prior to the incident, adding that her passing would be palpable as she brought much joy to the family.

“Ever since my husband passed away, the four of us have been living together for the past two months. Every day, my youngest child would chatter away, sometimes to the point of frustration as her antics often put her in danger.
“As a part-time house cleaner, I never left her alone, fearing something might happen due to her habit of trying risky things.
“While I accept her passing, I never imagined that her actions, which I frequently warned her against, would lead to her death,” she said.
Meanwhile, Penang police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad confirmed the incident and said the case is being investigated under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001.
