According to Tikam Batu Fire and Rescue Station chief Assistant Fire Superintendent Muhammad Syukri Hashim, he said an emergency call was made regarding the incident at 6pm.
A total of eight firefighters were then deployed, where they found 69-year-old Goh Cheng Huat unconscious on the hilltop near the transmission tower.

A medical officer later pronounced him dead at the scene, reported Kosmo.
Had several health issues
Kuala Muda police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail later revealed that Goh’s health problems could have been the reason for his unexpected passing.
As per a report by China Press, Goh suffered from heart disease and high blood pressure and was told multiple times not to go hiking, but he refused to listen.

“On the day of the incident, he left his home at 4.30pm and met up with a friend for their hike up Bukit H.
“When they reached the peak, Goh complained of chest pains and breathlessness, leading his friend to advise him to sit down and rest.
“While resting, his friend noticed that he was sweating profusely before suddenly collapsing and failing to breathe. His friend immediately contacted Goh’s son, who then called for an ambulance,” he said.
Police found no criminal elements and the case was classified as sudden death (SDR).
Our condolences to Goh’s family and if you have preexisting health conditions, do consult the doctor before going for hiking trips.
