A retiree from Penang saw his retirement savings receive a huge boost after he took home a total of RM21.3 million upon being named the winner of the Toto 4D Jackpot 1.

As per a report by Borneo Post Online, the winner was a 64-year-old retired renovation contractor who was revealed to be the winner on Dec 8.
Speaking to STM Lottery, the man said he had been placing bets on his family members’ car registration numbers – 5841 & 1562, for several years straight.
“I felt a sense of relief when the numbers I’ve betted on for years were revealed as the winning numbers feel. I immediately spotted the numbers when they emerged as the Toto 4D’s second and third prize.
“I was unable to speak and overwhelmed with joy when I checked my ticket against the results,” he said.
The retiree added that he now has the opportunity to retire comfortably and plans to put his winnings into a fixed deposit to ensure that future generations have a steady income.
The RM21.3 million which was won by the Penangite, was part of the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 totalling RM21.5 million and the remaining amount of was won RM203,962.75 by a winner from Selangor.
