An elderly man was found lying lifeless inside a hotel room in Ipoh, Perak, after his family reported his disappearance two days ago.
According to Malay Mail, the discovery was made yesterday (Mar 13) after police conducted a search operation and opened an investigation under the missing person category after receiving the report on Tuesday (Mar 11).

According to Ipoh police district police chief Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, he said the victim, 62-year-old R. Thinakaran, was found in an unresponsive state at around 4:20pm.

The medical officer from Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) arrived at the scene and confirmed the death. No visible injuries were found on the deceased’s body.
“The body has been sent to the HRPB forensic unit for a post-mortem today to determine the cause of death,” he said as quoted by the news portal.
Abang Zainal said the case has been classified as sudden death for the time being and called upon the public to not speculate or share photos and videos related to the matter out of respect for the family.
Instead, they’re encouraged to contact the Ampang Baru police station’s assistant chief at 05-5467005 or any nearby police station if they have further information on the case.

Left home for physiotherapy session 2 days ago
Earlier, it was reported that Thinakaran left his home at around 1.30pm in a dark blue Honda Accord for a physiotherapy appointment.
His daughter T. Ashmitha told Malay Mail that the family tried calling him as he had left his neck collar at home, which he usually wears to his physiotherapy sessions.
However, they were unable to get a hold of him as he had left his handphone at home.
She added that he also suffers from various health problems such as severe back pain, diabetes, and multifocal motor neuropathy as well as being a bypass patient.
