A retiree found himself getting mowed down by a car that came crashing right into him while he was sweeping the front porch of his house at Taman Tiara Perdana in Simpang Renggam, Johor.
Footage of the crash has also gone viral online, shocking netizens with the sheer impact and destruction that followed.

In the clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), it showed the elderly man sweeping his front porch.

Seconds into the clip, a red Toyota Yaris suddenly appears in the CCTV footage, where it’s seen charging towards the man without slowing down, leaving him with little to no time to get out of its way.
As a result, the man was completely knocked over by the car, which sent him flying a few metres away.

After crashing into the man, the Toyota Yaris then crashes into an electricity pole, where the impact was so strong that it sent the pole falling to the ground along with an electricity wire.

A photo which was widely circulated online showed the car’s front bumper completely crushed, along with the electricity pole which was severed into two.

Man suffers broken leg
Kluang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh later revealed that the Toyota Yaris was driven by a female nurse, who was on her way to her home which happened to located at the same area as the victim’s.
“Upon arriving at the scene, the woman reportedly lost control of her vehicle before hitting the victim, who was on the roadside in front of his house.
“The victim sustained serious injuries, including a broken left leg and a wound on his forehead, while the nurse only complained of chest pain,” he said as reported by Sinar Harian.

Both the victim and the nurse are currently receiving further treatment at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital (HEBHK).
The case is now being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless driving resulting in an accident.
